Teaching
In this teaching by Elder Sandy Clifford, we explore the significance of leavening in the context of the Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread. As we physically remove leaven from our homes during this holy season, we are reminded to reflect on the spiritual sin that still resides within us. Despite our efforts in study and prayer, we acknowledge our imperfections and seek the Lord’s guidance in recognizing our individual sins. By humbly addressing our own shortcomings, we strive to be a source of support and encouragement for others in their spiritual journey.

Sermon
In this sermon on March 30th, we delve into the history of Passover in Early Christianity, examining the practices instituted by Jesus himself. We reflect on Luke 22:18-19, where Jesus emphasized the significance of communion and remembrance during the Passover meal. Additionally, we explore Jesus’ act of humility through foot washing, highlighting its powerful message of humility and sincerity. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 5:8, we are reminded to observe the Festival with sincerity and truth, forsaking malice and wickedness. As we reflect on these teachings, we are challenged to align our practices with Jesus’ example and ask ourselves: Why are we doing what we do?
